Adventure Cat sunset sailing does amazing trip right out of Pier 39 in San Francisco, CA. We were able to get on one of their sunset sailing trips that came with light snacks and 2 drinks per person. After leaving the pier we sailed straight for Alcatraz island. We passed the ferry boat that takes the visitors to and from the island. We sailed around the backside of the island and were able to get a new look at Alcatraz.
Sunset was fast approaching so it was time to head toward the Golden Gate Bridge. Along the way we passed another sailboat that had the same destination in mind. Crossing under the bridge itself was incredible! Especially since we were blessed with good weatehr and no fog, we had full visability of the redness of the bridge against a bright blue sky. It was breathtaking!
Heading back to the marina it was much quieter with many people chatting and reflecting on the trip we had just taken. It was a sailing trip I will never forget!
After the sunset sail you could check out Fog Harbor Fish House located right next to the marina where Adventure Cat sails from. If you are looking to book with them online visit them at Adventure Cat Sailing Charters
